Have you ever taken time to put together a puzzle? I’m talking about the cardboard type puzzles, where you need a flat surface and sometimes plenty of room.
The logical way to construct a puzzle of any size often begins with building the outer edges. Those pieces help create the picture frame that will help you put together the inner design. Once the frame is in place, you can slowly build the puzzle piece by piece.
Let’s consider life to be like a puzzle. The outer frame pieces would be the solid parts we need in place to create the picture we desire on the inside. Some things are a necessity like a way to make a living, shelter, food, and transportation. As these pieces take their place in the whole of the puzzle and create the outer edge, we can begin to add hopes, dreams, family, friends, and other parts to see the picture we want to see.
Not every part of your puzzle will be pretty and some pieces will be harder to find or even understand where they fit in. Eventually your puzzle will unfold and each piece will have a place within your life’s picture.
Don’t be discouraged or disappointed at the amount of time it takes to build your puzzle. You are not in a race with other people, and you don’t need to keep up with your neighbor or your co-worker. Your life is your own, and you should live each day as a piece of your puzzle. One day you’ll be able to sit back and see the beautiful picture it has become.
